When global Finnish paper manufacturer Stora Enso rebranded, their signage needed to be changed in 345 different sites in 39 countries. A major undertaking that called for great project management and smart thinking. Because Modulex (Brand On’s parent company) carried out the previous signage implementation, the basic signage was high quality and so it was only necessary to change the front panels – simplifying the process and providing major cost savings.

"Brand On offered professional support and quality results and yet simple and transparent operational model which enabled us to conduct our global signage project efficiently and reliably. The project team members were always available, highly customer oriented and operated on 39 different countries worldwide without problems. We have been more than satisfied that we chose Brand On to this project." — Hanne Kataja,Group Communications

Finnish paper manufacturer Stora Enso has offices around the world. So when they decided to rebrand with an identity created by design agency N2 Marketing, their signage needed to be changed in 345 different sites in 39 countries. A major undertaking, but one made simple with great project management and smart thinking.
Modulex, Brand On’s parent company, had carried out the previous signage implementation 10 years ago. This meant that the basic signage was high quality and so it was only necessary to change the font panels – simplifying the process and providing major cost savings. The identity was further refreshed through custom made building logos and flags, which were produced in our manufacturing facilities and sourced from international suppliers.

Everything was controlled with a project management system run from the UK and Denmark. Weekly reports on the progress were issued on the collation of information and site photography. ‘Brandbooks’, showing before and after views of signage, were created for each site. And production, shipping, removal of the old brand, were all carefully managed. Our own network installed the new signage and ensured that everything was on brand.
